Ender's Game Author: Orson Scott Card Crisis's Rating: 5/5 My favorite sci-fi novel of all time and winner of the Hugo and Nebula awards. A tale set in the near future depicting the beginnings of Ender, a "gifted" young boy. The story has a slow start but picks up fast when Ender is commission to the International Fleet Command as one of several gifted children in a development program for a war against an alien race.

I want to post alot on this title but I don't want to give too much away. Card uses his writing to expose the world to the power of the mind of a child. The full version of this book can be read online at: books.google.comOr purchased at amazon.comA must read. Feel free to discuss the book if you have read it.

The Color of Water Author: James McBride Crisis's Rating: 3/5 This one I just finished. I rarely read novels written in memoir fashion but this one was a good. The story is actually told from two points of view; that of a young jewish woman & a young black man. A must read if your into stories dealing with overcoming racial prejudice. The novel takes a twist into a Romeo & Juliet tale towards the climax but has an happy ending.

Over the next few days I'll be listening to some suggested music from Pinkaaaaaaaaaaaa. If anyone has a favorite song; genre not important; post the link or title of it below and I'll dig it up. I'm well rounded as far as music goes so I'm interested to hear what you all like.

Pink's playlist was interesting. Alot of rap which I love but mostly from Nas which I don't love so much. I like that I'm Coming Home song Raiven and I've heard it before.
Thanks for the addition Matrix! I'm looking for more stories in the Ender saga. I'm told that Ender's Shadow and Speaker of The Dead are just as great. I'll try to get some movie critque going up here as well. Thanks again for the additions.

So it's been quite some time since I posted here and I've been thinking a lot on what I should write on my favorite thread on this board; my very own Crisis's Corner. I thought I'd talk a little bit about what I've been doing lately, but my life is boring and no one would be interested in all the time I spend doing research in college. So then I thought maybe I should take a picture or two but I don't think anyone wants to see me, again, doing more research in college. So until I can come up with something I will make a long overdo book review of a novel I recently read, Ender in Exile. Ender in Exile, written by Orson Scott Card, is the final (or current-final) book of the Ender series. The story takes place directly after Ender's Game, placing it before Speaker of the Dead in the timeline and making it a great read for someone who recently finished the first Ender novel. Ender in Exile revolves primarily around Ender, also known as Andrew Wiggin, the "savior of the human race". This continuation of the first novel tells the story of what happened to Ender immediately after he was responsible for the genocide of the Buggers. It involves love and lust as Ender grows up and finds a love interest. A lot of the book however focuses on how Ender deals with being responsible for the extinction of an entire race and how he comes to make peace with what he was once taught was the greatest enemy of mankind. This book is one of the best spin-offs I ever read. Ender in Exile Author: Orson Scott Card Crisis's Rating: 4.5/5
