Awesome, awesome weekend! Great music, great weather! Think I can find a pic or two. Here is the Calgary Herald entertainment writer's blog: Click for blogI did not take any videos but here is a sample of what it was like (Can you say Mayhem? )

Day 2 was also awesome! The Constantines, Stars, City and Colour, Matthew Good and Tragically Hip were on our lineup although many more played during the day. We had rain in the morning but the sky cleared up by noon and we were ready to roll. Two gorgeous days of weather and good music.
My only complaint was the port-a-potti situation was deplorable -the first day with not enough of them and no one to maintain them. The second day more were added but still not a pleassant experience. The food concessions were also too few for the number of people attending.
Question: Why do people pay $75 to spend the whole day in the beer gardens paying for over-priced, warm beer and miss out on the entire show?

#sunny# Overall, the Virgin experience was a good one. Everyone you encountered was positve and upbeat, and lots of free junk from various sponsers as well! one of the fun things you could do was text the screen and the texts were continually running all day long. Some were very funny and clever, some were Chuck Norris jokes. , some were marriage proposals. My favorite : "We r in ur city festin all ur virgins."
