The artist who lived here was extremely eccentric. He would paint on any surface and on Sundays during the summer he would open up his house for anyone to peruse and hopefully purchase the art. He would sit in there and play his guitar. The house was just off the Uptown 17 area of town so there was lots of people always in the area walking by. It is sad that the house was torn down. But here it is in all its colorful glory. And yes those are vinyl records nailed to the wall.

I like to look for the color and the repetition of a pattern. I love urban landscape photography and sometimes taking an item out of context shows some interesting details.

I happened upon some kids that had a major graffitti board going in the back of this old building that housed a record store. Unfortunately, the city made the owners paint it all out.

I actually took a roll or two of pictures of the graffitti that was here. One of my pet projects is finding unlikely art or art in unlikely places.
